Dr. Hamid Menouar will be hosting a conference on: “Internet of Things for Smart Living”, monday juin 25th, 2018 at 2PM in Bloc C, CERIST.
Short summary:
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a still emerging topic of constant interest to technologists, business leaders, policymakers, and the world at large. Even though there are many consumer products, durable goods, vehicles, industrial and utility components, and other everyday objects being already connected to internet, we are still in the early stages of what will become a highly connected world. When most of objects around us will be enabled with Internet connectivity and powerful data analytic capabilities, the way we live and work will drastically change. There are many and different projections for the impact of IoT on Internet and economy, but they are all impressive, anticipating as many as 100 billion connected IoT devices and a global economic impact of more than $11 trillion by 2025.
In this presentation we will provide an overview of IoT technologies and applications along with related challenges and opportunities.
