International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN)   are available free to Algerian publishers of magazines, journals, periodicals and other serials.

An ISSN is a unique eight digit number which identifies serial publications worldwide. In Algeria, ISSN are provided by the ISSN Algerian Centre operating within the Research Centre on Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST).
