         2^nd Day on HPC and its Applications (JCIA'2016),

The Research Center for Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST) is organizing the  2^nd Day on HPC and its Applications and the Spring School on HPC at CERIST headquarters (http://www.cerist.dz/ ), from the 17^th to the 20^th of April 2016.

These days will bring together users and suppliers of computing power, academics, researchers and Algerian manufacturers involved in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC). During the first day, the HPC community will have the opportunity to attend presentations from specialists in the field, as well as scientific and professional exchanges around HPC infrastructures. Focus will be on the use of HPC in various fields needing computing power, particularly: parallel processing of video streams from surveillance cameras, reservoir modeling in the hydrocarbon field, semiconductors technologies in the field of renewable energies and Big Data. There will also be reviews and feedback on the use of the various platforms of HPC at the national level, in the framework of the sustained policy of promotion of HPC by the Directorate General for the Scientific Research and the Technological Development (DGRSDT).

A spring school on the development of parallel applications, the use and administration of computing clusters is also scheduled on the sidelines of this day for the community of users and administrators of these platforms.
